"Do You Know Your Rights?"

According to the “Convention on the Rights of the Child” all children have a right to:
* Love and Security
* Healthy food to eat
* A decent place to live
* Adequate medical care
* Be protected from abuse
* A good education

Whose responsibilty is it to make sure that children actually have these rights?

  1. From my knowledge, I feel that it's the parents responsibilty to make sure that children have these rights. I say that because that part of being a parent and raising your child, yoou have to make sure they have a place to sleep, food to eat, a good education and much more !

  2. The parent is responsible to make sure that children have these rights. No one else should be responsible for this, unless the child is adopted or has a legal guardian to take care of him/her. Each child should have the right to:
    Love and Security
    Healthy food to eat
    A decent place to live
    Adequate medical care
    Be protected from abuse
    A good education

  3. I agree with Alexis and Tiara that is is a parents responsibility to meet the needs for their own child. However, most children spend more time in school than they do at home with family after age 3. Therefore, it must be manditory for school officials be able to provide the needs listed above during school hours.
