  1. In my opinion race doesn't matter, it's all about your charateristic and how you carry yourself as a human. Issues concerning race do affect some children because some people are races and are very basis. Also, No people shouldn't be categorized even if they were that wouldn't change who they are.

    1. I agree, because it is about the person you are, and colors don't matter.

    2. I agree with you no matter what people say be the person that you are don't change because of you race. It's not all about that even if you could change your race you would probably be the same person because of how you carry yourself.

  3. I don't think race matters. When children become aware of things about their racial or ethnic group, it could affect how they respond to situations. People should not be characterized by race, race isn't the main issue. The color of your skin, has nothing to do with who you are.

  5. children are affected by it because they may have issues with someone of another race based on what someone else told them. As for the categorization of another race..that doesn't take away what they are able to accomplish as a person or how good of a person they are on the inside

    1. This is true, I have a little cousin who's parents only brought her Black African American Barbie/Baby dolls because they didn't want her playing with any other color toys. Once she began to talk and stuff she would ask if people of different race were sick because they didn't look like the people she was used to being around.

  6. My opinion is that race shouldn't matter. Everyone should get along with each other no what the race of the person. Yes, concerning race does affect children because some people are just very negative and don't care about what they say so they feel like they can call or say whatever they want to people. Most time these hurtful things really bothers many children later on in life. Also, in God's eye everyone is equal no matter your skin color maybe. We all are humans. No, people shouldn't be categorized because even if there are different ethnic groups doesn't mean people have to be placed in them all because of their skin color. WE ALL ARE THE SAME!!

  7. To me, race shouldn't be categorized. Race doesn't matter,it's about who the person is not what color they are. Just because of their color don't determine nothing at all. Issues concerning race really does affect children in a way. The reason I say this is because in their own home they may be raised up by someone that's races, and this affects the the child because they have to go along with it.

  9. To me, Race does not matter. I wouldnt care if someone was purple, I would still treat them the same. I dont understand why other ppl treat the opposite race different from their own. Everyone is the same if you ask me. Noone should be judged by the color of the skin under no circumstances..

  10. I feel that people should not be categorized by race at all because the color of someones skin does not give them the ability to do something well. Its not right when children have to hear about the bad statics of the race, to find out majority of the world expects them to do same thing just because they share the same race. Children are affected everyday by the issues concerning race. Its sad to hear young children talking bad about each others skin color and race because of what they hear at home and see on television. Not knowing that its not right. Appearance can't tell you about someone's ability to do anything. You'll never know what one can do if your just assuming. Taking time to find out would be the only way.

  11. I don't think race should matter, you are who you are. Issues concerning race affect children only if their parents are races. No one should be categorized by their race.

  12. Race doesn't matter! No one should have the right to be categorize by race. We all the same but just different in a way. Issues concerning race do affect some children because of the color for example Doll Babies.WE ALL ARE GOD'S CHILDREN NO ONE IS DIFFERENT!

  13. I feel that people should not be characterized by their race because each person should be treated equally and fair despite of their color. I feel that way because this world is muticutural!

  14. I think that race does not matter. Everyone is equal and different in their own way. I don't think people should be categoized because of their race. Issues concerning race affect children because some pople just don't like other races. I have friends that are a different color and i treat them as if they were my sister or brother. I would not treat anyone different because they are a different color from me.

  15. Race doesn't matter. It just tells people about their character and where they come from. People might not like you just becuase your race; what you do, where you come from, and traits from your heritage. What's the point of judging a person becuase of their skin complection? It doesn't make no sense to do anything like that. I know that I will never treat anyone different because of their skin complection.

  16. To me race doesn't matter because everybody should be treated fair. Also if someone was a different color then me i would treat them the same as I treat everyone else. Its sad that you have to be talked about just because of your skin color.

  17. Yes, i do think that issues concerning race affect children because as they learn more about it they will get a clue of how african americans was treated back in slavery. No, i do not think they should be catergorized because evrybody should be as one and not be determine on the color of their skin. Kids should get a chance to learn more of how racism began an what effects can it do to you and others.

  18. In my opinion it doesn't matter what color you are, where you come from, or how you act. I accept everyone for who they are not by where they come from, what color they are, their appeerance, personality, etc. I feel as if you shouldn't judge a person by how they look because you never know what the person is going through. I know there was once racism involved but it's 2013 and people have a right to hang with who they want, date who they want, and talk to who they want. It's not where you come from or how you look it's the way approach yourself. Everyone should take the person as who they are regardless of the fact. I'm not judging anyone because it's wrong and racism is now over. You have the freedom to do what you want and hang with who you want. So take this into consideration and treat everyone as you would want to be treated.
