"Making Decisions"

During the teen years students should begin to seriously think about career options and goals in life.  When making decisions concerning a career choice do you think it is important to choose one based on salary and benefits, or one that brings you happiness and enjoyment? Explain in detail your reasoning.

  2. Your career choice should be based on happiness and enjoyment, when it comes to your career you should do things that inspires you to want more and follow your dreams and do things that you love doing. Everyone loves money but who would want to work for money when you can get alot more out of doing things of your desire and your goals and aspirations. Money is something that comes and goes and get things you want and need but your successful career choice sticks with you and last for a lifetime you can get more out of life with doing things you love and have a passion for money just bring happiness and it comes and goes. So to me no money doesnt matter my career and the things I desire doing does, money comes and goes my career will last forever and get me alot more ouwt of life.

    2. I agree with you Shauna because money id important as well but being happy and enjoying what you do is even better because you can always get some money, but who will say that your happiness and enjoyment will always be there as much. Money comes and goes but nine times out of ten your happiness and enjoyment will always be there. Remember money isn't the only important thing in life !

  3. I think you should choose your career based on happiness, not based on salary. I think this because money doesn't bring happiness. You should do something you enjoy doing. You don't want to working somewhere you are not happy. It not always about the money

I think that you should choose a career that would bring you happiness and enjoyment because if you choose to do something that you like doing or want to do and been wanting to do that for a long time. I think that you should choose what ever makes you happy and find a career that brings you happiness and enjoyment.

  5. I've answered a question like this once and I'll say that both is the most important. You should be able to enjoy your occupation/job. It has to be something that you enjoy arriving to everyday and can be easy to share with others. Another thing, the occupation/job need to have a good salary; so you wouldn't have any major problem with financial issues. Whatever your job pays, it can cover bills that you're mandatory to pay.

  6. I feel that you should make life decisions based on your happiness and enjoyment. When your happy with the career you have and don't dread waking up every morning and don't like what your doing, that's your mistake. That's your mistake because you had the same opportunities to get the career didn't want to the one that you really did want. But, it's not too late. You can be and have any career you want but it's up to you to make it happen. If you can a career that you love and have salary and benefits then, your in very good shape. You should be loving life to the fullest and having fun. Life is all what you make of it. You can let people influence you but at the end of the day, it's your decision.

  7. During the teen years students should begin to seriously think about career options and goals in life because once you get to the real world it's really going to get harder and you should have goals and plans for what you would like to do in the future. When making decisions concerning a career choice I think both salary and benefits, and happiness and enjoyment are both important. I said they both are important because you would want a job/career you would be focused on, like, have some money and lots of benefits and you should also be happy about what you are doing and also enjoy it. It's good to be focused on the money but if you not happy or if you don't enjoy don't go for it. If your main focus is on the money then try to choose a good job that will make you happy, a job you would enjoy, and also that makes good money. I feel like it's no need to work somewhere if you not going to enjoy yourself at the same time. When working somewhere and choosing your career make sure it's something you will be happy about, enjoy, and make some money because they all are important in life. It's not only about the money always remember that, it's much more to look forward to in the future !

  8. To me I think that you should pick the career that would bring you happiness and enjoyment because if you would choose a career that makes a lot of money you might not like it. For a Example: I want to be a anesthesiologist not just cause they make a good salary but I always used to dress up as a doctor and use to play doctor with my cousins every time I would get home I just enjoyed doing what I would love to do when I grow up, but picking a career based on salary and benefits is also good because the more money you make the more things you can provide for your family. But overall I would tell people to pick a career that you would loved to the fullness.

  9. I think you should make a career choice that brings happiness and enjoyment. Why because you only do your best when you're happy. You should love what you do, be inspire and motivated. Money just bring more problems and stress.

  10. I think you should choose your career based on what you believe will keep and make you happy. A salary doesn't mean anything in life because no matter how much money you have that will not keep or make you happy. It may give you the things you want and need but other then that it don't do much for you. Money don't bring happiness in your life. I believe that in order for you to be happy you must do whatever it is you want to do. Happiness is the key of life without happiness its like you are living in a lonely dark place.

  11. I believe your career you be based upon your happiness and enjoyment. Choosing a career based on salary might not last a lifetime. Finding a career of your enjoyment may be worth-while. you won't have to worry about pressuring yourself into doing something that doesn't fit your interest, being stressed out, or having alot of anxiety problems. the career field of your interest will fulfill the feeling of completing a dream, something you won't get if you choose a career based on salary. I'm pretty sure that there are more people who are successful with the career that they chose from interest than money. So in conclusion happiness and interest is the way you look instead of a stressful work environment 24/7.

  12. In my opinion, your career choice should be based on happiness and enjoyment. You should find a career in something that you are interested in, not because you make a lot of money. If you find a job doing something you like, you won't have to force yourself to work or wake up in the morning having that "I don't want to go to work feeling." Your career should be something you like or something you've always wanted to do. You shouldn't just choose a job for the money and benefits; that should just be a plus. No matter how much money you make, you won't be happy; it would just be stressful.

  13. When making a career choice, you should always choose one that will bring you happiness and enjoyment. So what if a job pays a 5 or 6 figure salary. Will you be happy working this job for the res of your life? Who wants to work at a job for the rest of their lives and be miserable while doing? You should always choose a career on something you love to do. IF you do this, it wouldn't seem like a job. When you love what you do everything comes natural to you. Always pick the option that makes you satisfied. Don't just choose a job because it pays a lot of money. Money isn't the key to happiness. Having a job that you don't like can cause stress. Being too stressed can cause health problems and even death. So, you should always choose a career that provides you with happiness and enjoyment.

  14. I think that you should choose a career that you would enjoy doing for the rest of your life or so,because if not what's fun by having alot of money but miserable when having to work and youre not enjoying it.To me there's no sense in it. I would personally do something that i love and can still make money from doing it.
